International Alert has over 20 years experience in peacebuilding and conflict prevention and works in over 20 countries and territories around the world. Alert has developed a reputation as a leading organisation in conducting specialised training for personnel engaged in peacebuilding, state building and development in conflict- affected and fragile locations.
International Alert, through exploiting context-specific international and local experience, has developed compelling training materials which are firmly grounded in real lives and which feed into our reflective training approach. This experience includes not only training experience – which it has provided in each of these contexts – but also engagement with local, international, governmental and nongovernmental actors.
Together with Transition International, International Alert has conducted a number of high-quality Reintegration trainings in the UK and in the Netherlands. Transition International is a Netherlands-based, international consultancy firm with a network of senior consultants around the world. They are specialised in tackling the challenges of transitions and promote ‘change for the better’ through knowledge-sharing, training and advisory services. Transition International and International Alert combine a sound knowledge and experience of reintegration programming, and expert training methodology to ensure that our training provides highly experienced participants with the right tools and approaches to enhance their programming, be it at headquarters or at field level.
